American Brahman Breeders Association Show Animal of the Year Award Winners Announced

HOUSTON, Texas – The Show Bull/Show Cow of the Year program was started by the American Brahman Breeders Association (ABBA) in 1999 to recognize those individuals who excel in ABBA Approved Shows. The winners of these awards have accumulated the most show points in their respective divisions from July 1 to June 31 of the previous year. Not only have these individuals placed at the top of numerous shows throughout the year but have also represented the ABBA and the Brahman breed at many events across the country. The ABBA Show Animal of the Year honor is awarded to an outstanding individual in each of the following categories: Red Bull, Red Female, Gray Bull and Gray Female. This year’s award winners are:

  • ABBA Gray Show Bull of the Year – MR BER 427 (#945942) owned by Bull’s Eye Ranch, Burton, TX.
  • ABBA Red Show Bull of the Year – KR MR RED SNAPPER 438 (#942329) owned by Ken Ramsey, Cat Spring, TX.
  • ABBA Gray Show Cow of the Year – WALTERS REBEL (#937601) owned by Walters Livestock, Brenham, TX.
  • ABBA Red Show Cow of the Year – CT MS KARLI RHINEAUX (#937863) owned by Leah Thibodeaux, Church Point, LA.

The LGS system calculations have been hand checked and were deemed 100% accurate to insure the validity of these awards. These exceptional Brahman cattle and their owners/breeders will be recognized during the ABBA International Show held from February 25th through March 1st at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo For more information about the ABBA Approved Shows, visit brahman.org.
