Formed in 1980, the American Junior Brahman Association is the youth organization of the American Brahman Breeders Association. Currently there are over 900 AJBA members from across the United States.

Membership is open to any youth from birth to 21 years of age. After reaching the age of 21, AJBA members have the option of joining the ABBA to continue pursuing their interest in Brahman cattle and remaining active with the breed. As a member of AJBA, youth gain knowledge of the Brahman breed while participating in a variety of enriching activities and programs including the AJBA’s main event, the All American National Junior Show.

The AJBA Junior Board of Directors is the AJBA’s governing body, and provides an opportunity for youth to gain experience holding leadership positions. Officers are elected at the All American and include AJBA members who represent the association on both state and national levels. It is the responsibility of the Junior Board to represent the AJBA to the best of its ability, to provide assistance at AJBA and ABBA events, as well as to be the voice of the AJBA membership.

Each state is given seats on the junior board based on their state membership, and directors are elected within their state. The junior board members assist at the AJBA All American and the International Brahman Show. They also represent the AJBA at various events in their home states.
